About Satoshi Yamamoto

Satoshi Yamamoto is an executive coach, leadership facilitator, and former international banking executive who partners with senior leaders navigating growth, transformation, and cross-cultural leadership in Japan and globally. He currently serves as the Japan Chapter President of the International Coaching Federation (ICF), where he helps advance the quality, credibility, and social impact of coaching in Japan. 


Prior to establishing his independent coaching and leadership development practice, Satoshi built a distinguished 32-year career in banking and executive leadership. He spent over 12 years at JPMorgan Chase as Head of Commercial Bank International Banking Japan, leading strategic relationships with Japanese subsidiaries of multinational clients headquartered across the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Earlier in his career, he held a range of leadership positions at Mizuho Corporate Bank and also served as President and CEO of a venture business in Japan. 


Today, Satoshi coaches executives, partners, and leadership teams across industries including financial services, consulting, technology, and manufacturing. He also serves as Executive Coach and Faculty with Berkeley Executive Coaching Institute / UC Berkely Executive Education and Deloitte Tohmatsu Group / Deloitte University Asia Pacific. He is known for bringing together deep business credibility, global perspective, and coaching presence to help leaders lead with greater clarity, humanity, and impact.
